2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV Overview
The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is the first all-electric pickup truck from Chevrolet, and it’s now available to order in the Laredo area through the Ancira Winton Chevrolet dealership. Chevrolet plans to have a trim selection similar to the standard Silverado available by the end of 2024. For the initial batch, which starts shipping in November 2023, your options are limited to three configurations. The 4WT is configured with fleet customers in mind. The 3WT and RST Fleet Edition are consumer-grade models. The 3WT is a work truck while the RST has many additional amenities and technologies.

Every 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV has a crew cab with four full-size doors and a bed that measures 5 feet 11 inches. We’re often asked if there will be other cab options, such as a double or regular cab. That remains to be seen. If the Silverado EV sells as well in 2024 as Chevrolet expects, it seems likely for the 2025 model, but it won’t happen before that. All models have a midgate and multifunction tailgate that make the bed very versatile and give you more overall length to work with it.

The Silverado EV crew cab has front bucket seats and a rear bench and thus seats up to five. In all models, legroom is more than 44 inches in both the front and rear row. A full digital instrument cluster and an 11-inch infotainment touch screen is standard even with the WT models. The RST adds a 17-inch screen. The WT models have a minimalistic cabin with vinyl surfaces that will withstand a great deal of abuse and be easy to clean. With the RST First Edition, you get amenities like genuine leather seating and zoned automatic climate, and these First Edition models in particular have special interior flourishes.

Every Silverado EV sold and leased in the Laredo area through Ancira Winton Chevrolet will support Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 charging. Level 1 requires a standard 120-volt outlet. This is the slowest option but a good one to have in a pinch or for topping off. Most of our customers will want to have a Level 2 charging station at home as its faster than a standard 240-volt outlet, which is also an option, and Level 3 connections can be found at DC fast-charging stations.

Chevrolet will offer a number of different motor and battery combinations. Specifications for all of them have not been released as of this writing. The current trim levels available will make 510 horsepower. Payload capacity is 1,440 pounds. Towing capacity is 10,000 pounds. Higher ratings will be available later on. These models will have approximately 400 miles of range.

The WT models have an 11-inch touch screen. The RST has a 17-inch touch screen. A rearview camera and forward collision warning with automatic braking and pedestrian detection are standard. Options include adaptive cruise control, the semi-autonomous Super Cruise driving system, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, a digital rearview mirror and a head-up display.
