2024 Chevrolet Traverse Overview
The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will usher in the all-new third Traverse generation. It is currently available to preorder and should be on our lot here at Ancira Winton Chevrolet by the beginning of next year. We know that our customers have many questions, and we’ll do our best to answer them here particularly regarding the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim levels. That said, be mindful that this vehicle is still in preproduction. Official releases about the new Traverse have been minimal, and the details that are available are subject to change. What we do know is that there will be four trim levels available when the new Traverse is released, and those are the LS, RT, Z71 and RS.
LS Trim
The LS is the most affordable of the Traverse trims. During the previous generation, this trim gained a reputation as one of the best base trims in the class when it came to the balance between MSRP and standard equipment, and we expect the new LS to be even better. The Traverse is a bit bigger than before so expect enough legroom for adults in all three rows and an even larger dedicated cargo area. The V6 has been retired and replaced with a turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers more horsepower and torque and has a higher maximum tow rating while being more fuel efficient. Standard equipment includes 18-inch wheels, heated mirrors, cloth seating, tri-zone automatic climate control, onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, a 17.7-inch central touch screen, a digital instrument panel and a six-speaker sound system.
LT Trim
This is one of the more interesting 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim levels as it replaces two trim levels from the previous generation. Chevrolet hasn’t announced how it intends to handle this. Our expectation is that it will be equipped similar to the LT Leather trim offered for the previous generation and that there will be a LT Premium package to round out the offering. Standard equipment will likely include roof rails, fog lamps, second-row captain’s chairs, leather upholstery and a wireless charging pad. The optional package will add features like premium audio, adaptive cruise control and integrated navigation.
Z71 Trim
The Z71 is the newest of the trim levels available for the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse at Ancira Winton Chevrolet. While Chevrolet has offered Z71 configurations for many of its models in the past, this is the first time it’s being offered for the Traverse. In terms of creature comforts, we expect the Z71 to be equipped like the LT with the LT Premium option included. We also know that the Z71 will have a more advanced AWD system, an off-road suspension that increases ground clearance by an inch, improved approach and departure angles and a terrain-based drive mode select system.
RS Trim
Here is another big change for the Traverse. The RS returns but now serves as the top trim. This will continue to be the sportier option in the family and will boast 22-inch wheels, a sport-tuned suspension and a flat-bottomed sport steering wheel. We expect that the RS will be equipped similar to how the Premier was equipped previously with features like a hands-free liftgate, cooled front seats and heated second-row seats, and there will likely be a High Country option that adds the advanced trailering enhancements with the heavy-duty engine cooling and the power-folding third row.
