2024 Chevrolet Equinox Overview
The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox is now available to test-drive, purchase and lease at Ancira Winton Chevrolet. This is a compact crossover SUV with four doors and a rear liftgate. It has a 183.1-inch overall length, which is about 15.3 feet, a 107.3-inch wheelbase and a ground clearance that ranges from 7.6 to 8.0 inches depending on your choice of drive layout and wheel size. All models are powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine: 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive is optional with all trim levels, and the transmission is a six-speed automatic regardless of drive layout. The Equinox seats five. Front legroom is 40.9 inches. Second-row legroom is 39.9 inches, and dedicated cargo space is 29.9 cubic feet.
LS Trim
The LS is the most affordable of the four core 2024 Chevrolet Equinox trim levels. It comes standard with push-button ignition and keyless entry. Exterior features include LED headlamps, heated mirrors and 17-inch alloy wheels. The optional Midnight and Sport appearance packages upgrade the wheels to 18 inches and add unique styling cues. The cabin boasts cloth upholstery, air conditioning, a 7-inch touch screen, in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot, two USB ports and a six-speaker sound system with satellite radio. Standard driver assists include automatic high-beam headlamps, a rearview camera, forward collision mitigation and lane departure mitigation. Standalone options include rear parking sensors and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic warning. The optional LS Convenience package adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat and an enhanced multi-color driver information display.
LT Trim
The second of the core trim levels upgrades the exterior with more chrome and body-colored trim. It adds illuminated sun visors, upgrades the rear seat with folding and includes all of the contents of the LS Convenience package. New options include the Confidence & Convenience and Safety & Infotainment packages. The former adds dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power liftgate, remote engine start and front and rear parking sensors. The latter adds an 8-inch touchscreen, two additional USB ports, a higher-definition rearview camera, a heated steering wheel, a 120-volt outlet and adaptive cruise control.
RS Trim
The RS is the sportiest of the trim levels and boasts a unique appearance package with 19-inch wheels. It has the LT’s standard equipment and its Confidence & Convenience package. On top of that it adds, a black interior with red contrast stitching, a unique shift knob, a power liftgate and roof rails.
Premier Trim
The Premier is the most luxury oriented of the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox trim levels. It has the leather seating along with the upgraded backup camera, heated steering wheel, driver’s seat memory, ambient cabin lighting, wireless charging pad, 8-inch touchscreen, 120-volt outlet and hands-free liftgate. It also adds the blind-spot monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors and 18-inch wheels. The Confidence & Convenience II adds cooled front seats and heated rear seats along with more driver assists. Driver Confidence III adds automated parking and other assists, and Infotainment II adds integrated navigation and a premium seven-speaker Bose audio system.
Fleet Models
The 2024 Chevrolet Equinox is also offered as fleet vehicle, and you can choose from either the LS Fleet or LT Fleet trim levels. Note that you generally won’t find these models on the lot at your local dealership but rather have to order them from the factory through Ancira Winton Chevrolet. It’s also worth noting that there aren’t significant differences between the standard and fleet trims.
