The Tahoe is a full-size SUV that can seat up to eight with generous legroom in all three rows and ample dedicated cargo space.
Chevrolet has expanded the customization options, including adding more colors and wheel designs. The Super Cruise tech is now optional with the top trim levels. The optional V8 engine is even more powerful due to a number of refinements, and Chevrolet has also improved numerous aspects of the sportier RST model, which offers you that larger V8 as an option.
Four-wheel drive is standard with the Z71. It’s optional with all other trim levels, which come with rear-wheel drive standard. The 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe has a 10-speed automatic transmission regardless of drive layout. The standard engine is a 5.3-liter V8 engine that makes 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. There is also a 6.2-liter V8—420 hp and 460 lb.-ft.—that is standard with the High Country and optional with the RST, Z71 and Premier. You also have the option of a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine that makes 277 hp and 460 lb.-ft.
The base infotainment suite includes an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Android and Apple integration and a rearview camera system. Base driver assists include automatic headlamp and high-beam control, frontal collision warning with intervention, lane departure warning with intervention and front and rear parking sensors. The infotainment center is upgraded to a 10.2-inch screen starting with the LT trim level. Options include blind-spot monitoring, a surround-view camera, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, automated parking, rear automatic braking and the Super Cruise system.
Keyless entry and start and remote ignition are all standard equipment. Aluminum wheels are standard as well, and the wheel sizes available at Ancira Winton Chevrolet range from 18 to 22 inches. The RST is available with a Sport Performance package that adds dual exhaust and a sportier suspension. The Z71 has a similar suspension but one that is adaptive. It also adds a two-speed transfer case, hill descent control and an electronic limited-slip differential.
The LS is the most affordable 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The LT adds amenities and technologies aimed at the average customer. The RST is a sportier model. The Z71 is an off-road model. The Premier is a luxury model. The High Country is similarly equipped but has some exclusives, such as special wheels, and includes the more powerful V8 along with the Max Trailering package.
There are nine exterior colors available starting with the base trim level. One of those is a premium option—Radiant Red Tricoat—and the others are included in the MSRP: Auburn Metallic, Black, Dark Ash Metallic, Empire Beige Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic and Summit White. Beyond the base trim level, you also have the option of Iridescent Pearl Tricoat as a premium option.
